Sinking Back was the first music video I created for one of my own songs, and the track was also my first release featuring vocal accompaniment. The video began as simple iPhone footage that I originally intended to use as a live-show film backplate, but after experimenting with post-production treatments, the visuals developed into something more complete.

The footage was heavily processed to create a large, pixelated, abstract look that obscured the source material while preserving mood and motion. The result felt mysterious enough to support the tone of the song, so I decided to release it as an official video. Special thanks to Elizabeth Smith for lending her beautiful voice and being open to the collaboration.
