a light beacon is my cross-genre music production project that began in 2002 as a personal endeavor. However, it quickly became obvious that audio production expertise also had some benefits for my clients.

The ability to score animations creates value for clients.

At a time when rights management is a big concern, custom music empowers clients with full rights ownership. It also enhances the animation process, allowing the animator to work with a well-planned mood and tempo that only a custom score can provide -- a critical element in creating memorable stories through animation. Music production is full of unexpected surprises that are often results of experimentation and the occasional happy accident.  There are technical similarities in the animation and music production processes that make the two very simbiotic.  They often benefit from and improve one another in creative ways.
